Intelligent Automation will assess your home for its best energy efficiency possible. In conjunction with you, the
home owner, we break down your home into different circuits: essential, non-essential, standby and lighting.
These circuits will then be controlled by the Gswitch.
Power that has to be on all the time in your house: fridges, freezes, garage doors, security systems, smoke detectors,
anything used for medical purposes etc. These circuits are always left on.
Standby power is power left on an appliance when not in use. Left on standby, appliances add approximately
10% to your power bill, so it makes sense to shut them down when not in use. You get to choose what is left on and what goes off.
Non-essential power supports items that aren’t essential but still need to available at your discretion eg. air conditioners,
ceiling fans, heating and some lights.
“Goodbye” is a function that switches off all lighting, standby and non-essential power. For your convenience and
safety, there is a 2 minute delay on the lights.
This function turns off all standby power. This can be accessed either via your smart device from your Gswitch dashboard
or from a switch located in your home. “Goodnight” can be set us as a “schedule” from your dashboard, you can also
“schedule” goodnight at different times for each night of the week depending on your families habits.
Appliance delay is set by the home owner in the “Schedules” page of your dashboard, for an amount of time sufficient
for washing machines, dryers and dishwashers to finish their cycle after you leave the house. This gives you peace of
mind that after the cycle is completed the appliances will be turned off by the Gswitch.
Gswitch is ‘Memory Retentive’. This means the Gswitch will return to the last state it was in before the power went off.
The Gswitch can can monitor your water, power import and solar export remotely using a smart device and logging
into your Gswitch Dashboard. All your data is in a graph for you to see what you have been either importing exporting
or using at any given time, even creating reports for past usage to compare with present usage.
The Gswitch is installed by your electrician with “essential” and “non essential circuits” the refrigerator is always on as
it is classed essential. You get to choose which appliances are essential and non essential. “It’s power your way”
By setting a “schedule” in your dashboard this allows the Gswitch to automatically switch the house into “Goodnight”
or “Goodbye” at pre-selected times according the routines of the household members. You can even set up a
“schedule for when you are away on holiday to create the illusion of presence in the home. This set and forget function
is great for those who forget to put the house to sleep at night as your schedule will do it automatically for you if you don’t.
If Gswitch does not detect presence via smart phones then the house will automatically go into Goodbye function.
If your phone suddenly looses power there is always the manual switch located in your home to turn the power back
on whilst you charge your phone.
The Gswitch detects presence via bluetooth, from all smart phones, therefor all phones in the household must be
paired to the Gswitch this is done via the “devices” page on your dashboard by simply logging in to your Gswitch
on any smart device (iPad iPhone android etc)
This allows the home owner to shut down the water mains. This is able to be done either before leaving home or whilst
away if forgotten. This is achieved by logging into your dashboard.
*Note a plumber must install a solenoid for this function.
*Please consult your manufacturers recommendations regarding the regular switching off of your individual appliances. Intelligent Automation accepts no responsibility for operating appliances outside the manufacturers guidelines
